About RankBump

SEO evidence should be understandable before it is actionable.

RankBump is an online website-audit product for small business owners and freelancers who want a clear starting point without a professional SEO dashboard. It turns supported search, website, authority, content, and AI evidence into plain-language priorities. Public educational content and product explanations are reviewed by founder James Goldstein before publication.

Why it exists

A calmer alternative to overwhelming SEO software.

Many SEO products are built for specialists and place every chart, keyword, and warning on screen at once. RankBump is designed around the question a business owner usually has: “What should I work on next?”

The Basic audit starts with Search Visibility and Local Visibility. Four optional sections can be added to an eligible report when the owner needs deeper evidence about trust, health, content, or AI search visibility.

Consulting & Training

The people behind the app can help with the work.

RankBump is both a website-audit app and a provider of personal SEO, AI search, advertising, content, and technical services. We built the app to make useful analysis easier to understand. Our agency work helps businesses turn clear priorities into practical improvements through implementation, consulting, and training.

Author and reviewer

James Goldstein

James Goldstein is the founder and product reviewer for RankBump. His work with small wedding businesses informs the product’s first industry-specific guidance, including practical concerns about limited time, limited advertising budgets, and explaining technical recommendations to nontechnical owners.

This page does not claim that one person or one tool can guarantee search rankings. Product documentation and public guides are reviewed for factual support, clear limitations, and consistency with what the product actually does.

Editorial policy

Useful, verified, and specific beats inflated.

  • Every public page has one defined search purpose so RankBump does not publish thin variations that compete with one another.
  • Product capabilities, package details, evidence, screenshots, and examples must match a verifiable source.
  • RankBump does not publish invented testimonials, rankings, customer counts, revenue results, awards, guarantees, or artificial scarcity.
  • AI may assist research and drafting, but scheduled articles require human fact-checking, intent review, original examples, and sourcing before publication.
  • Corrections should update the reviewed date and explain material changes when the original conclusion matters to readers.

Product transparency

Your audit explains what to improve. It does not make the changes for you.

The website audit identifies issues and suggests what to work on first. You decide which changes to make yourself or discuss with a website professional. Buying an audit does not include changes to your website, paid links, or a guaranteed position in Google or an AI answer. A Google Business Profile still requires an eligible business.

For businesses in the Portland, Seattle and Bend metro areas, separate SEO, content marketing, advertising and AI help is available through an agreed written proposal. The proposal defines the work, responsibilities, timing and fee before any paid service begins.

The public methodology explains what each observation state means. The public self-audit shows the same evidence standards applied to Wildwood’s own website.
